Octave is seeking to hire a Software Engineer Intern in the Quality Assurance organization. This position involves verification and validation of Octave products such as InConcert with Octave Design Tools such as Forte 3D. Candidates considered for employment must be well-rounded, self-motivated, and team players. Candidates must be able to adapt quickly by learning methodologies and technologies, and information relevant to the lifecycle of process and power plants through formal and ad-hoc training as well as on-the-job training. The candidate will work in agile team collaborating with other teams based in the United States, India, United Kingdom, Germany and Israel, and working within a multi-tenant, Cloud-only application framework based on the latest technologies. The ideal candidate will work with planning/development/support teams in the following areas:

The candidate will work in agile team collaborating with other teams based in the United States, India, United Kingdom, Germany and Israel, and working within a multi-tenant, Cloud-only application framework based on the latest technologies. The ideal candidate will work with planning/development/support teams in the following areas:
- Develop and maintain manual test plans and procedures
- Define and execute manual tests based on given criteria
- Define regression, new feature and performance test plans with relevant metrics
- Define continuing testing efforts to support fast and frequent Software as a Service (SaaS) release model
- Analyze data and communicate test results with Development or Support teams.
- Interact with product owners, product development and quality assurance teams to give feedback, discuss design issues, investigate problems, and develop solutions to meet the technological needs of end users.
- Accurately documenting testing activities and results.
- Use strong analytical skills to solve software, delivery or configuration problems in a timely manner while adapting to changing priorities.
- Working towards Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering or related areas
- Experience with Quality Assurance is preferred
- Working knowledge of Windows OS, Database concepts, Azure
- Strong interpersonal, problem solving and multi-tasking skills
