We are looking for an Engineering Technician todo PLC programming and help implement a SCADA (Ignition)platformto enable users to control andmonitorPLCs and otherdevices.
Responsibilities:
PLC and HMI programming for machineryusing, but not limited to, Automation DirectPLC controls and systems.
Integrate PLCsandPCs with other machine controls to perform required machineoperations (usually involving automation functions).
Develop and oversee the installation and operation ofequipment andsystems.
Mentor andtrainotherMaintenance TechniciansonmaintainingPLC and SCADAsystems.
Work with Engineers to developequipment and controls.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Understandand befamiliar with hardware sensors and microelectronics.
PLC troubleshooting experience and software/hardware analysis to resolve problems.
Experience in communication protocols such as Modbus, Ethernet/IP,IO-Link,etc.
HMI programming and integration.
Able to work with vendors, manufacturing personnel,and the engineering group asa collaborativeteam member(John and Robert).
Able to receive and provide input about improvements to machine control designs.
Supportthe Maintenance Department to coordinate and prioritize effective maintenance of equipment and facilities.
Collaborate on preventative maintenance programs and control of maintenance costs.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong Work Ethic.
Desired Skills:
Knowledge ofautomated distributionand conveyor systems.
Experience withRFIDsystems andsoftware.
Interface with CNC Machines: control panels, electrical systems, etc.
Cameraand bar code/QRsystems linked to SCADA.
Be able toprogram, andtroubleshoot CO2 and Fiber laser systems.
PLC sequence programming.
Experience & Education:
3 years' experiencewith PLC Programmable Logic Controllers.
3 years' experiencewithMechanical, Electrical,Hydraulicsand pneumatics.
Essential Functions/Working Conditions:
Office environment with production facility.
Schedule:
Onsite Monday - Friday.
