Event Executive (Global Soccer) (Financial Services Client) (Contract)

EXPERIENCES / Responsible for supporting the planning, on‑the‑ground leadership, and execution of the client's experiential marketing programs within one of the 11 U.S. host cities, with a primary focus on the Stadium Fan Experience, the FIFA Fan Festival™ and additional market activations as assigned.

Octagon is seeking an Event Executive to join our team on a support role during the major global soccer tournament. In this role, you will collaborate with the execution of multiple large‑scale brand activations across your assigned city, working closely with internal teams, vendors, and partners to deliver best‑in‑class fan experiences.

You will help manage logistics, staffing, vendor relationships, and on‑site operations for Stadium Activations and Fan Festival programs as needed. This role requires being proactive and a hands‑on mindset, with the ability to thrive in fast‑paced, live event environments.

WHERE YOU'LL WORK

For the entire duration of the contract the position will be based in one of the following cities: Seattle, San Francisco/Bay Area, Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, Kansas City, Atlanta, Miami, Boston, Philadelphia, New York/New Jersey.

THE WORK YOU'LL DO

• Support the planning and execution of Stadium Activations and Fan Festival programs in your assigned market.
• Ensure all activations meet brand, safety, and operational standards.
• Provide operational support for Stadium Activations and Fan Festival experiences within your region.
• Work closely with the Stadium Fan Experience lead and the Fan Festival lead to ensure top-level execution across all activations.
• Assist with vendor management, logistical planning, and preparation of event documents to aid in execution and recapping.
• Assist regional team managing all merchandise, premiums, and uniforms.

• 0-2 years of experience within an agency or client service experience and event planning preferred.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• High stamina and physical ability to work long hours during activations. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
• Flexibility and willingness to work weekends or holidays as needed.
  
  

This position pays a monthly rate of $3,500 and is overtime-eligible, though anticipated hours are not expected to go beyond 40hrs/week. Contract positions with Octagon are not benefit eligible.
