What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager position at OCS Group USA?
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing projects from
initiation through completion. Ensure all work is executed safely, on schedule, within budget,
and in compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities include managing project schedules, coordinating subcontractors and internal
departments, monitoring costs, maintaining client communication, and resolving project issues
to ensure successful delivery of vessel construction, repair, maintenance, or retrofit projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of projects, including defining project scopes, goals, deliverables,
timelines and planning in collaboration with stakeholders, execution, and closeout.
- Coordinate resources, subcontractors, and personnel to meet project objectives.
- Monitor project budgets, schedules, and performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Maintain regular communication with customers, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve operational challenges.
- Prepare project reports, progress updates, and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Marine Engineering, Business or a related
field and/or-
- Experience in shipbuilding, vessel repair, marine construction, or industrial project
management.
- Strong knowledge of marine engineering, naval architecture, leadership, organizational,
and communication skills.
- Knowledge of marine industry regulations, safety standards, and project controls.
- Proficiency with project management software and methodologies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and optimize resource allocation.

- Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening, and any required shipyard
security clearance.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish highly recommended.
