Trade Support at Growing Hedge Fund

OCR Alpha are partnering with a multi-billion dollar hedge fund that is continuing to build out its infrastructure and is now making a key Operations/Trade Support hire.

The firm runs a Global Macro strategy across multiple funds, trading FX, Rates, Credit, Commodities and a broad range of derivatives. This is a genuinely hands-on role within a Macro / Rates trading environment, offering broad exposure across the full trade lifecycle and close day-to-day interaction with traders, treasury, counterparties and the fund administrator.

You’ll sit at the centre of the front-to-back process - supporting live trading activity, ensuring robust controls and acting as a key point of coordination across internal and external stakeholders. Given the function is being built out, there is real scope for the successful hire to help shape processes, improve workflows and take ownership of how the middle office operates as the platform scales.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Trade capture and lifecycle management across rates, credit, FX and derivatives products
• Oversight of trade booking, ensuring timely and accurate confirmation and affirmation
• Supporting lifecycle events (amendments, resets, rolls, novations, exercises, terminations) and ensuring accurate downstream processing
• Managing settlement workflows and resolving trade breaks across internal systems, counterparties and the administrator
• Working closely with counterparties, brokers, custodians and service providers to ensure smooth daily operations
• Producing/maintaining control reports and contributing to process improvement as the function matures

The ideal candidate will have:

• 2 years of experience in Operations/Middle Office/Trade support (ideally buy-side, but strong sell-side candidates considered)
• Strong product exposure within Macro, particularly across interest rates products - CDS exposure is beneficial
• Strong understanding of the full trade lifecycle from execution through to confirmation, settlement and reconciliation
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced trading environment with high attention to detail and strong ownership mindset
