Multi-specialty Ambulatory Surgery Center in Gilbert is seeking a Certified Instrument Technician
Job duties include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Operating Room set up
- Assists the OR staff in the organization and daily function of the operating room in accordance with established Federal, State and accreditation standards and Center policies and procedures
- Assists with OR room turnover between cases to facilitate throughput
- Responsible for instrument decontamination and sterile processing
- Responsible for instrument care, handling, and documentation/ record keeping related to sterile processing.
- High level disinfection and proper documentation
- Maintaining equipment per manufacturer's guidelines
Candidate requirements:
- This position requires attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to multitask while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
- Experience with AAMI standards required
- Central sterile or operating room experience required
- Basic Life Support required
- Additional related education and/or experience preferred
- High School diploma or GED
