What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Technician/assistant position at Oconto Veterinary Center?
Oconto Veterinary Center is searching for a veterinary technician or experienced assistant to join our team!
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparation and assistance with procedures/surgery, animal restraint, administration of medication & vaccines, wound prep and care, dentistry, collection and sending of lab samples, reception/ phone, client instruction, and various administrative duties.
Successful candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent, prior experience in a veterinary clinic setting, some training in a veterinary program/ CVT preferred but not required. Strong communication and organization skills are a must in order to work with clients in a caring and professional manner. Additionally, candidate must possess the ability and flexibility to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
Hourly rate of pay will be determined based on level of experience.
Pay: $19.00 - $27.00 per hour
