Oconomowoc Lake Club is seeking a skilled and dependable Sauté Cook to join our culinary team. This position plays an important role in preparing high-quality dishes for member dining, private events, and club functions in a fast-paced, professional kitchen environment.
The ideal candidate has strong line cook experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining consistency, cleanliness, and quality.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, presentation standards, and timing expectations
- Work the sauté station during lunch, dinner, banquets, and special events
- Ensure all food is prepared safely, accurately, and to the highest quality standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation
- Assist with prep work, including proteins, vegetables, sauces, and garnishes
- Communicate effectively with the culinary team during service
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen procedures
- Help with receiving, storing, labeling, and rotating food products as needed
- Support other kitchen stations when necessary
Qualifications
- Previous sauté, line cook, or professional kitchen experience preferred
- Strong knife skills and understanding of cooking techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and accuracy
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
