About the Role:
FULL-TIME opening for an experienced Dental Assistant for a well-established Dentist in a modern office located in Flemington, NJ. Main responsibilities include chair-side assisting of Dentist, taking patient X-rays, sterilization, intra-oral patient scanning, setting up rooms, and patient education. The ideal candidate must be an experienced Dental Assistant with a valid NJ dental X-ray license. Days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, approximately 32 hours. Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of dental procedures including restorative, cosmetic, and preventive treatments
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and treatment rooms between patients
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) as directed
- Greet patients, review medical histories, and ensure a comfortable patient experience
- Record treatment information and update patient charts accurately
- Educate patients on post-treatment care and proper oral hygiene practices
- Manage dental supply inventory and assist with ordering materials as needed
Requirements:
- Prior dental assisting experience preferred; recent graduates welcome to apply
- Dental radiography certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
