Concrete Plant Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Plant Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining safety standards, and managing a skilled workforce. This role requires strong leadership abilities and a solid understanding of plant operations, including mechanical knowledge and heavy equipment operation.

Duties

• Manage daily operations of the plant to ensure production goals are met while maintaining quality standards.
• Supervise and lead a team of employees, providing guidance and support to enhance productivity.
• Oversee the maintenance and operation of plant equipment, ensuring all machinery is functioning correctly.
• Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and vendors for material procurement.
• Monitor inventory levels and order products needed for Ready Mix Concrete production and associated functions.
• Identify and resolve issues related to delivery schedules, product quality, and service.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, fostering a safe working environment.
• Conduct regular team meetings to review performance, discuss operational challenges, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure COD payments as well as all operational paperwork are collected, documented and turned into Main Office daily

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of dispatch/batch experience within the Ready-Mix Concrete Industry
• Proficiency in dispatch/batching software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards applicable to the transportation industry and delivery of concrete products
• Class B (or higher) CDL preferred but not required
• Proven experience in a managerial role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in heavy equipment operation.
• Ability to operate various equipment including wheel loaders
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with various employees including management, maintenance staff and drivers

Pay: $60,111.41 - $72,392.23 per year
