Cost Estimator Internship

We are excited to offer a part-time Cost Estimator Intern position to join our team in Auburn, AL. This paid, in-office internship is scheduled to run from May through the end of August 2026. This position is ideal for students currently studying/have prior exposure to the construction industry, interested in cost estimating, and looking to gain hands-on experience. You will have the chance to collaborate with industry-leading professionals, work on a variety of project types, and build practical skills in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities include: 

• Support the internal team with cost estimates, studies, analyses, and evaluations across all project stages.
• Assists with conceptual-level estimates, quantity take-offs, change order reviews/reconciliations, and value engineering solutions.
• Conduct detailed reviews of project documentation and assist with comprehensive cost estimates/models that align with client goals.
• Effectively communicate project objectives through clear and concise means.
• Research and maintain an up-to-date database of cost information

Qualifications:

• Recent graduate or currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc)
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with estimation software a plus (On Screen Takeoff (OST), Bluebeam, PlanSwift, RSMeans, etc.)
• Local area candidate and available to work in-office.

Compensation: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
