Position Summary
OCI, LLC, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a highly experienced Controller to oversee all aspects of financial management, reporting, compliance, and strategic planning. This role sits at a senior leadership level, providing CFO-level insights and recommendations to the executive team and driving financial performance across the organization. The Controller will manage financial operations, implement process improvements, ensure regulatory compliance, and support business growth through accurate forecasting and financial analysis. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in manufacturing finance, demonstrated leadership in corporate accounting, and advanced knowledge of ERP systems, with M1 ERP experience strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Strategy
- Partner with the CEO and executive team to develop long-term financial strategies aligned with growth objectives.
- Provide CFO-level insights into performance, profitability, and cash flow management.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
Accounting & Reporting
- Oversee general ledger, cost accounting, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
- Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Manage cost accounting systems to analyze product margins, inventory valuation, and production efficiency.
- Conduct variance analysis, financial modeling, and KPI reporting.
ERP & Systems Management
- Maximize ERP capabilities to streamline accounting, reporting, and operations.
- Lead improvements and integration efforts with M1 ERP (preferred).
- Implement automation and digital tools for financial management.
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure GAAP compliance and federal, state, and local tax requirements.
- Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and mitigate risks.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and regulatory agencies.
Leadership & Team Development
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
- Provide training and growth opportunities for staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or MBA strongly preferred.
- 10 years of progressive financial leadership, ideally in manufacturing.
- Strong technical knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and manufacturing finance.
- ERP system expertise required; M1 ERP experience strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to manage multi-million-dollar budgets and forecasts.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
