Reports To: Housekeeping Manager
Position Summary:
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for providing a constant supply of clean linens for the facility, ensuring all laundry is cleaned, dried, folded, and stored properly. This role plays a key part in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold linens, towels, uniforms, and other laundry items.
- Operate washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect laundry for stains, damage, or wear and report any issues.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry room.
- Track inventory of linens and report shortages or excesses.
- Follow proper procedures for handling contaminated or soiled items.
- Adhere to safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Assist with delivery and distribution of clean laundry to designated areas.
- Perform minor maintenance on laundry equipment as needed.
- Support other housekeeping tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in laundry or housekeeping is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of laundry chemicals and safety procedures.
