- Unit: Emergency Department (ED) / Emergency Medicine (ER).
- Schedule: Days & Nights Available.
- Location: Ochsner Medical Center – Baton Rouge, LA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient-centered care using the Nursing Process in the Emergency Room (ER).
- Assess patient needs and implement appropriate education strategies for patients and families.
- Communicate, delegate, and collaborate effectively within the ED interdisciplinary team.
- Manage nursing resources while serving as a leader and partner in the Emergency Department.
- Use clinical data and evidence-based practice to evaluate care and promote optimal outcomes.
- Support patient satisfaction, staff engagement, and excellence in emergency nursing practice.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements:
- Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license – State of Louisiana.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association).
- Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
- Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity Emergency Room / Emergency Department (ER/ED) setting.
- Emergency Department or ER experience is preferred.
