Duties
- Greet and seat guests promptly upon arrival, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using the POS system, including OpenTable for reservations.
- Serve food and drinks to guests in a timely manner while adhering to food safety standards.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining area.
- Handle cash register transactions efficiently, ensuring accurate billing and payment processing.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns regarding their meals.
- Provide menu recommendations and answer questions about ingredients, dietary restrictions, and specials.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, including culinary techniques and food handling practices.
- Uphold high standards of customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is preferred but not required
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling is essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift items up to 25 pounds as needed.
