JOB DESCRIPTION
The Development and Membership Manager is responsible for growing OMA’s membership program, strengthening annual donor engagement, and supporting key fundraising initiatives. OMA raises more than 50% of its $2.2M operating budget through contributed income and generates approximately $220K annually in membership revenue.
Reporting to the Director of Development, this position plays a critical, hands-on role in advancing OMA’s fundraising strategy and stewarding constituents into lifelong supporters. The Development and Membership Manager will work closely with staff, donors, members, volunteers, and community partners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Membership
● Develop and execute strategies to grow, retain, and upgrade membership, with a focus on long-term donor relationships
● Plan and execute membership campaigns and promotions in partnership with the Marketing and Communications team
● Manage membership data, reporting, and fulfillment in the Humanitru CRM
● Organize membership-related events, orientations, and welcome experiences
● Collaborate with Marketing to execute member lead nurture strategies
● Meet or exceed annual membership revenue goals, including new members, renewals, and upgrades
Development
● Cultivate relationships with members to identify opportunities for increased philanthropic giving
● Partner with the Director of Development on donor stewardship and relationship management
● Ensure timely and accurate donor recognition, benefits, and acknowledgements
● Manage CRM and prospect research platforms (Humanitru and iWave) to support fundraising strategy
● Assist in planning and executing development campaigns, including Annual Appeal, Year-End Appeal, Day of Giving, Giving Societies, and program, exhibition, and event sponsorships
● Support OMA fundraising and cultivation events as needed, including the Gala, Art After Dark, Exhibition Celebrations, Plein Air Festival, and other special events
Administrative & Operations
● Serve as a primary administrator for the Humanitru CRM, ensuring data integrity, reporting, and documentation
● Create and maintain written SOPs for database, membership, and development operations
● Train staff and support cross-departmental CRM usage as needed
● Meet weekly with the Director of Development to report on membership and fundraising progress
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
● 4–6 years of progressively responsible experience in fundraising, membership, or relationship management
● Demonstrated success in project execution and campaign management
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfort with public speaking
● Strong working knowledge of CRM database management
● Knowledge of and interest in the arts
● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
● Reliable transportation; ability to work occasional evenings and weekends

Job Type: Full-time, salaried position; hybrid work environment; evenings and weekends required as needed
Salary range: $71,000 - $80,000, commensurate with experience
