Working on company-provided systems with specialized software, the Survey Data QC Analyst collaborates closely with offshore staff, GIS, and Project Management teams to support diverse survey operations and deliverables.
This is a U.S.- based position with a remote work schedule and may require travel to other designated geographic areas as needed. Occasional domestic and international travel may be required based on assignments.
Full-time role requiring occasional on-call support outside standard business hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth quality control checks on survey data to identify inconsistencies, errors, and anomalies. Ensure data accuracy and completeness before final reporting.
- Use statistical methods and analytical tools to validate survey results, ensuring the integrity and reliability of datasets.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation on data quality findings. Develop corrective action plans and update standard operating procedures as necessary.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine survey methodologies, implement data quality improvements, and optimize data collection processes.
- Utilize data cleaning tools and software to preprocess survey data, remove inaccuracies, and prepare datasets for analysis.
- Data processing and analysis support for surface navigation setup and calibration (DGPS, vessel offsets, gyro, MRU), spool and jumper metrology (acoustic and inertial), subsea navigation setup, calibration, data acquisition (USBL, LBL, INS), and quality control of final reports.
- Demonstrates a willingness to mentor and support the development of other team members.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaborating effectively within a team
- Engagement in the company's competency, Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE), and quality programs is a core part of this role.
- Performs additional responsibilities and tasks as required to support organizational objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two (2) plus years of experience in offshore and/or onshore surveying, preferably with a focus on the offshore activities outlined above or demonstrated equivalent skills and knowledge to effectively perform the required duties.
- Demonstrated practical experience in data management, data analysis, mapping, data standards, and related software
- Proficient in M365 Microsoft applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams, and OneNote
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and other relevant software
- Understanding of DGPS, geodesy, metrology, LBL, and surface/subsea survey sensors
- Strong quantitative and analytical abilities, with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively report findings and communicate with remote teams.
- Ability to work in a fully remote environment and accommodate an on-call schedule when necessary.
- Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night.
- Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the work place.
- Work surface is stable (flat).
