The Quality Control Inspector conducts tests to determine quality of raw materials, bulk intermediate, and finished products.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and verify incoming raw material and products to specifications
- Maintain and update incoming inspection files, procedures, and related required documentation.
- Determine proper product configuration and performance using engineering instructions such as product prints.
- Compile and evaluate statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.
- Complete dispositions, documents, and reports for purchasing and quality engineers on nonconforming materials.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Assist in the development and implementation of corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence or nonconforming product.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Associates Degree and a minimum of two (2) years related quality experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- ASQ certified Quality Inspector a plus
- Able to read engineering prints and record results and make decisions whether a specification has been met
- Ability to use tools such as calipers and electrical meters to measure dimensions
- Solid computer skills in the basic office suite programs
- Comfortable in a fast-paced atmosphere and detail oriented
- Comfortable using a pallet jack and ability to lift 25- 50 lbs.
- Maintain/Calibrate hand tools and fixtures for production
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) required
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment
- Knowledge of appropriate steps to analytical problem solving.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
- Ability to work in a team environment, remaining attentive to ideas, recognizing responsibilities, and actively participating with others to accomplish assignments and achieve desired goals.

- Noise is over 85 decibels.
- Light is intense/glare.
- Occasional exposure to open fire/flames/sparks.
- Frequent exposure to airborne dust, fumes, and gases.
