Job Summary
Safety Professional with OSHA 1926 construction experience. We are seeking a safety professional for our client's job-site. Great opportunity for early-career safety professionals.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL WORK TASKS -
- BOOTS-ON-GROUND safety work. Not a job for office types. You will be working and correcting unsafe behavior, PPE non-compliance while maintaining a strong field presence.
- Lots of walking, scaffold stairs, and some light lifting under 30 lbs - Physically capable of walking in excess of 7 miles a day is required.
POSSIBLE WORK TASKS -
- Monitor safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, steel company client and general contractor standards and regulations and company policies.
- Provide onboard safety orientation & new hire paperwork (W4, etc) to client’s incoming ironworker employees
- Running newly hired personnel into the field following aforementioned orientation to meet their new foreman.
Experience
- Field Safety in Construction
- OSHA 30
- OSHA 510
- BSCP cert or EHS degree puts you on the top end
- Microsoft Office
- CPR, first aid
Schedule Specifics:
DURATION: 2-3 months
LOCATION: Cape Canaveral, FL
SCHEDULE: 45-60 hours, Overtime past 40
REGULAR TIME: $35-45/hr
OVERTIME: $52.50-67.50
- as of January 1st, 2026, all premium overtime earned can be written off for tax purposes.
