POSITION REPORTS TO: Senior Care Services Director, Registered Nurse for purposes of licensure (CNA Certification compliance and Senior Resources).
GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION: Performance of routine household, personal care, and respite for the Caregiver tasks to help maintain an adequate and safe living environment for senior citizens with functional limitations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assist with bathing and hygiene.
· Assistance with activities of daily living
· Assistance with toileting.
· Assistance with personal care.
· Respite for the Caregiver.
· Light housekeeping tasks include dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, and cleaning, bathroom, and kitchen, making bed, laundry services and maintaining a safe and healthy living environment.
· Shopping for necessities including groceries and errands within client's community. Must be within the community in which client lives unless shopping locations are unavailable.
· Maintain appropriate boundaries with clients and their family.
· Light meal preparation
· Observe report and record any change in client's condition and home environment.
· General conversation and social support for the client.
· Required to attend all Team Meetings, in services, and trainings.
· All other duties assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Experience in providing care for senior individuals is preferred. Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Personal Care Aide (CPA) is not mandatory but welcomed.
· An enthusiasm for working with senior citizens.
· Ability to work with senior citizens with functional limitations.
· Ability to perform housekeeping, laundry, and cleaning tasks.
· Ability to lift objects and assist senior citizens during daily tasks.
· Ability to maintain accurate records.
· Attention to attendance and timeliness.
· Use of own personal vehicle.
· Valid driver's license and good driving record
· Up to date valid vehicle insurance.
· Proficient computer skills appropriate for the position, including use of agency e-mail for communication.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.50 per hour
Expected hours: 19 per week
