Ocean Wounds is seeking a compassionate and motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our expanding wound care team serving skilled nursing facilities in the Carlisle, Pennsylvania area.
This is an excellent opportunity for a provider looking to supplement their current practice or enjoy a flexible part-time schedule while delivering specialized wound care to patients in long-term care settings.
The position offers 1-2 days per week, with approximately 6-8 hours per day, allowing for an outstanding work-life balance.
What You'll Do
As a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner, you will provide high-quality bedside wound care while collaborating closely with facility nursing staff to improve patient outcomes.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform comprehensive wound assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic wounds.
- Perform conservative sharp debridement when clinically appropriate.
- Document patient encounters accurately in the electronic medical record.
- Collaborate with facility staff and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Educate nursing staff on wound prevention and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with evidence-based wound care standards.
Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania Nurse Practitioner license.
- Current DEA registration or ability to obtain.
- Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Experience in wound care, geriatrics, skilled nursing, primary care, internal medicine, or home health preferred.
- Wound Care Certification (WCC, CWCN, CWS, etc.) is a plus but not required.
Schedule
- Part-time
- 1-2 days per week
- Approximately 6-8 hour shifts
- Day shift
- No weekends
- Flexible scheduling
Compensation & Benefits
- $68-$75 per hour
- Flexible part-time schedule
