What are the responsibilities and job description for the Speech Language Pathologist position at Ocean View Elementary School District?
Under the general direction of the Director of Special Populations and the site administrator, identifies students within the district who require speech and language services. Conducts comprehensive assessments to determine students' communication needs and develops appropriate intervention plans. Provides speech-language therapy services to address and remediate communication disorders affecting speech, language, voice, fluency, and related skills. Collaborates with parents, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success, establish positive relationships with families, and make referrals to additional services when appropriate. Continuously monitors and evaluates student progress, assesses the effectiveness of intervention programs, maintains required documentation, and performs other duties directly related to supporting students' communication and educational needs.
