Duties
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions and handle cash drawer balancing with attention to detail.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries, providing product demos, and guiding customers through their shopping journey.
- Assist in stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and maintaining attractive displays to enhance store merchandising efforts.
- Conduct upselling by recommending additional products or services to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Handle phone etiquette professionally when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely.
- Support cashiering duties by managing cash handling procedures and ensuring the integrity of the cash register operations.
- Engage in retail store product knowledge activities to confidently inform customers about features and benefits of various items, including grocery products if applicable.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred; familiarity with retail math and cash register operations is a plus.
