Key Responsibilities
Event Planning
- Plan and coordinate seasonal and family-focused events for recreational program families.
- Develop creative themes and activities appropriate for children of different ages.
- Create event timelines, activity schedules, and setup plans.
- Oversee event setup, decorations, and activity stations.
- Coordinate games, crafts, and activities during events.
- Ensure events run smoothly and families feel welcomed and engaged.
- Create events that encourage family participation and community building.
- Communicate event details clearly to parents and participants.
- Provide a fun, organized, and safe environment for children.
- Coordinate with coaches and staff to help run activity stations or supervise areas.
- Provide clear instructions for staff or volunteers assisting with events.
- Plan decorations, materials, and supplies needed for each event.
- Prepare activity materials (crafts, games, egg hunts, etc.).
- Manage event setup and cleanup.
- Work with management to promote events through flyers, social media, and email announcements.
- Help develop creative event ideas that encourage participation.
- Experience planning events, children’s activities, or family programming preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
