What You'll Do
As Teller Supervisor, you'll help lead the teller team and ensure the branch operates safely, efficiently, and with a strong focus on member service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervise, support, and schedule daily teller activities
- Coach, train, and assist with the development of teller staff
- Provide exceptional service while resolving member questions and concerns with professionalism and discretion
- Open and close the branch and vault and activate security devices
- Ensure branch security procedures and audit requirements are followed
- Ensure transactions are processed accurately and in compliance with applicable regulations and laws
- Order branch cash, verify cash shipments, and maintain/prove vault cash
- Monitor and maintain accurate cash balances, records, logs, and inventories
- Assist with resolving and documenting teller overages and shortages
- Perform branch settlements and related operational duties
- Exercise appropriate discretion when handling check holds and policy exceptions
- Identify and report large currency transactions and suspicious activity as required
- Promote Ocean State Credit Union products and services when appropriate to meet members' financial needs
- Participate in community activities and represent the credit union professionally

Required qualifications:
- At least 2 years of teller experience in a bank or credit union environment
- Previous supervisory or team-lead experience
- High school diploma plus specialized coursework and/or training
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and support a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong member/customer service skills
- Professional judgment and the ability to handle confidential information
- PC proficiency, including Microsoft Office and banking software
Schedule
Full-time, in-person position
Typical schedule:
- Monday–Wednesday: 7:45 a.m.–4:45 p.m.
- Thursday–Friday: 7:45 a.m.–6:15 p.m.
- Saturday: 8:30 a.m.–12:15 p.m., when required
Schedule may vary based on branch needs.
Work Environment
This position is primarily based in an open-office branch environment and involves regular interaction with members and employees. The role includes standing for extended periods, computer and telephone use, and occasional light lifting/carrying of files and materials.
