Job Description:
Ocean State Aviation is hiring Seasonal Aircraft Deicers to join our ground operations team at T.F. Green International Airport. This essential role helps ensure safe and on-time departures during winter conditions by applying deicing and anti-icing fluids to aircraft.
Multiple shifts available throughout the day:
- Morning: 4:00 AM – 10:00 AM
- Midday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Evening: 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate deicing trucks and equipment
- Apply deicing/anti-icing fluids according to FAA and airline protocols
- Work outdoors in winter weather conditions
- Communicate effectively with team members and flight crews
- Perform routine safety checks on equipment
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must pass a background check
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work in extreme cold and snowy conditions
- Comfortable working around aircraft and at heights
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Previous ground operations or equipment experience is a plus (but not required)
