What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aquarium store associate position at Ocean State Aquatics LLC?
OSA Aquarium Superstores and Services is looking to add a high energy individual with extreme attention to detail who is also very timely, reliable, and able to problem solve!
- This position will be starting PART TIME specifically for , Saturday & Sunday, but advancing to full time.
Required skills
- Legally must be at least 18 years old
- must have experience in ornamental tropical fish
- Ability to communicate clearly with customers and associates in person & over the telephone.
- Ability to intermittently lift, push and/or pull up to 50 pounds and stand/move for entire shift.
- Ability to lift, bend, kneel, & safely climb up/down a ladder.
- Located around the Coventry RI area or willing to travel
Beneficial attributes
- Fundamental knowledge of the aquarium nitrogen cycle
- Basic water change skills
- Species identification
-Basic Identification of freshwater fishes/compatibility knowledge
- Basic customer service/retail skills
-Background in sales/retail
- Prior experience with aquatic husbandry at home *Highly Preferred *
