Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Ocean State Academy Learning Center is an out-of-district school placement serving students K–age 22 with intellectual and developmental disabilities who may need extra support beyond what public districts can provide. Our large multidisciplinary team consists of passionate professionals, including behavior analysts, occupational therapists, speech therapists, social workers, and more who are committed to providing meaningful learning and work opportunities for all students. We are currently seeking a dedicated behavior analyst to join our unique setting—a great opportunity to work in partnership with experienced special educators making a significant impact on our students' lives. What we offer at OSALC! · Positive daily work/life balance: No billing requirements and guaranteed school-day hours (7:30 AM–3:00 PM) · Competitive paid time off: o School breaks according to the public-school schedule, including federal holidays o (2) week-long breaks in the summer o Additional sick time and vacation time to be used as needed · Close collaboration with a passionate multidisciplinary team · Reimbursement for CEU’s and certifications · Manageable caseloads and ongoing support from clinical supervisor Key Responsibilities: · Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and design evidence-based behavior intervention plans (BIPs). · Train and support classroom staff, teachers, and assistants on the implementation of individualized behavior plans. · Provide direct support during behavioral crises using Safety-Care procedures, emphasizing proactive de-escalation strategies and least restrictive interventions. · Collaborate cohesively with teachers, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and families to ensure student success. · Monitor and analyze student data to make programming decisions. · Work as a team to plan professional development opportunities, and participate in professional development conducted by other disciplines.
