POSITION: GUIDANCE COUNSELOR - MAGNOLIA PARK ELEMENTARY
Qualifications
Minimum:
SALARY: Commensurate with the Ocean Springs salary schedule for certified positions for the 2026 2027 school year.
Any person desiring to transfer within the system must adhere to School Board Policy GBE

POSITION: GUIDANCE COUNSELOR - MAGNOLIA PARK ELEMENTARY
Qualifications
Minimum:
- AA Certification in School Counseling Endorsement Area 436.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong human relation skills.
- Good physical condition with ability to lift 10 pounds
- A philosophy of school counseling which includes the providing of:
- Academic leadership,
- Curriculum knowledge,
- A safe, orderly and effective school climate,
- High performance expectations,
- Parent and community involvement, and
- A standard operation procedure that promotes two-way communications and grass roots input in the decision-making process.
- Experience as a school counselor.
- Successful experience in managing a growing, modern comprehensive school guidance program.
