Job description:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and emergency repairs to ensure the proper functioning and safety of the company’s buildings and grounds. Duties include troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, as well as performing general handyman tasks, painting, carpentry, drywall repair, and groundskeeping. The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-functioning environment for our tenants.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on building systems, including plumbing and electrical.
- Complete work orders and maintenance requests promptly and efficiently.
- Digitally complete detailed reports of work performed.
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and safety checks on equipment and property.
- Perform general repairs such as painting, drywall patching, carpentry, and minor flooring or fixture replacements.
- Service, remove, and install appliances such as stoves, refrigerators, microwaves, dishwashers, washers and dryers, garbage disposals, and water heaters.
- Install or fix countertops and cabinets.
- Install or fix toilets, sinks, faucets, and vanities.
- Cleaning out main drain lines and sewer lines up to 4”
- Identify maintenance needs and report major repair issues.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe conditions.
- Provide excellent customer service to our tenants.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations.
- Submit timely vehicle inspection check list.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Management.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3 to 5 years of experience working in residential home repairs.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair minor facility issues safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment medical physical.
- Knowledge in handling power tools such as multi-tools; jigsaw; nail guns; etc.
- English proficiency required, Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must have a clean driving record, subject to a CA DMV check.
- Able to operate a cell phone, cell phone applications, text and email required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Compensation: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour
