What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Houseman position at Ocean Pointe Suites?
Overview:
The houseman will assist the housekeeping department in transporting linen to the housekeeping closets and keeping track of the daily linen that is sent out. You will be responsible for maintaining the closets cleaned and organized. You will also help other departments and assist with guest request.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Distribute linen to designated areas in the hotel
- Maintain each housekeeping storage and distribution area in a clean and organized condition
- Report any linen shortages or other discrepancies to the appropriate manager or supervisor
- Report any safety or security issues to the appropriate manager or supervisor
- Delivering service items to guest rooms upon requests from front desk
- Ensure efficient completion of daily assignments in a timely manner
- Attend and participate in all mandatory trainings
- Flexible with schedule and assignments
- Follow proper procedures for lost and found items
- Acknowledge and greet guests in public spaces
- Review daily inventory of supplies needed to complete assignments
