Location: Ocean Park Resort – Myrtle Beach, SC

Pay: Starting at $17.00 per hourSchedule: Part-Time | Weekends, Holidays, and Flexible Hours Required

Ocean Park Resort is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Pool Operator to help maintain our swimming pools, hot tubs, and aquatic amenities while ensuring our pool deck remains clean, safe, and welcoming for our guests.

A South Carolina Pool Operator License is preferred, but candidates with commercial pool maintenance experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain water quality for pools, spas, and other aquatic amenities.
  • Perform and document required chemical testing and water balancing.
  • Add and adjust chemicals to maintain compliance with South Carolina regulations and company standards.
  • Inspect, operate, and perform routine maintenance on pumps, filters, heaters, chemical feeders, and related equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs to pool equipment.
  • Clean skimmer baskets, strainers, and pool surfaces as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and guest-ready pool deck by wiping down and arranging lounge chairs, tables, umbrellas, and other outdoor furniture throughout the day.
  • Sweep pool decks, remove debris, empty trash receptacles, and ensure all pool areas remain clean and inviting.
  • Respond promptly to pool-related maintenance issues and guest concerns.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs and required compliance records.
  • Report equipment issues and recommend repairs or replacements when necessary.
  • Follow all OSHA, South Carolina DHEC, and company safety procedures.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance and Operations teams to ensure guests enjoy a safe and exceptional resort experience.

Qualifications

  • South Carolina Pool Operator License preferred.
  • Previous experience maintaining commercial swimming pools and spas preferred.
  • Knowledge of pool chemistry, filtration systems, pumps, and related equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical issues.
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as business demands.
