Ocean Mist is looking for a dependable, personable, and professional Door Staff to join our team at one of Rhode Island’s premier waterfront destinations. This is a fast-paced, energetic beach-bar environment where creating a safe, welcoming experience for our guests is a top priority.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and provide a friendly, professional first impression.
- Check IDs and ensure compliance with age requirements and company policies.
- Monitor and manage the entrance while maintaining a safe and orderly environment.
- Assist with managing lines and guest flow during busy periods.
- Enforce house rules and policies in a respectful and professional manner.
- Communicate effectively with management, bartenders and staff.
- Help identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
- Maintain a calm, professional demeanor in a busy and high-energy environment.
- Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming entrance area.
- Follow all applicable safety, alcohol-service, and workplace policies.
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Valid identification and ability to legally work in the United States.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable interacting with a wide variety of guests.
- Able to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Previous experience in a bar, restaurant, hospitality, security, or door position is preferred but not required.
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced waterfront/beach-bar environment.
