Overview
Ocean Mart is Utah's largest Asian supermarket dedicated to providing our community with quality, authentic, and diverse grocery products, including fresh produce, specialty items, meats, and seafood. We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Meat Department Associate to join our team!
Duties
- Clean, cut, and scale a variety of fish.
- Safely use knives and machinery to cut and slice various meat products.
- Weigh, label, package, and stock meat quickly and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, following food-safety protocols.
- Assist in receiving and warehousing of new shipments.
Requirements
- Prior experience in food preparation, deli, or butcher shop is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper meat handling techniques.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly attitude and effective communication abilities.
- Ability to stand for extended periods while performing physical tasks like packing and stocking products.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Be 18 years or older
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
