Ocean Grove Charter School (OGCS) is a WASC accredited charter school managed by Innovative Education Management (IEM). Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY: The K–8 Music Instructor is a content area expert who fosters an educational environment where students can explore and develop their musical potential through music education. The K-8 Music Instructor will use a variety of resources, including vocal and instrumental exploration, music technology, movement, composition, music appreciation, and music history content to deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate instruction across all grade levels. They will adapt, differentiate, and scaffold lessons to meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of students. The K-8 Music Instructor will organize and implement an instructional program that promotes creative expression, musical skill-building, collaboration, and academic success in alignment with school policies, standards, and regulations. Innovation and creativity are highly encouraged. The incumbent is expected to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive school culture in alignment with the organization’s Guiding Principles.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: - Application - Current Resume - Letter of Interest - Copy of Transcript - Credential Copy (Proof of a valid Teaching Credential is required.) Applications not accompanied with the above required materials will not be considered. Applications will be reviewed as they are received. To be considered for hire, candidates must meet the minimum requirements including a successful interview and successful reference checks. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of Tuberculosis (TB) tests every four years; and passing the relevant Department of Justice (DOJ) background review.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - Education: Bachelor’s degree. - Credentials/Certifications: Valid California teaching credential required. - Experience: Valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential required; or Single Subject Music Credential, and/or Arts, Media & Entertainment CTE Credential
