What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barista position at Ocean Grinds Coffee Company?
Duties:
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, tea, and smoothies
- Take customer orders and process payments using cash registers or POS systems
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and making recommendations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including restocking supplies and cleaning equipment
- Follow health and safety guidelines when handling food and beverages
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of retail math for cash handling and basic math skills for order processing
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Understanding of food preparation and food service standards in the industry
- Valid Food Handler's Card Required
