Part-Time Position | Evening Hours
OCVTS Adult Education is seeking a qualified and experienced Part-Time Wastewater Instructor to provide classroom instruction for individuals pursuing careers in wastewater treatment operations.
Position Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality instruction in wastewater treatment operations and related topics.
- Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments aligned with industry standards.
- Provide theoretical training to adult learners.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate attendance and performance records.
- Foster a safe, professional, and engaging learning environment.
- Assist students in preparing for state licensing examinations and industry certifications.
- Valid New Jersey Wastewater Treatment System Operator S-License required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in wastewater treatment operations.
- Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, regulations, safety procedures, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with adult learners from diverse backgrounds.
- Previous teaching, training, or mentoring experience.
- Additional wastewater or water treatment certifications.
- Experience developing instructional materials and curriculum.
- Part-time, evening hours.
- Tuesdays and Thursdays - Toms River Center - 12 classes
