Summary
Substitutes are needed in Ocean County for various centers throughout. We are currently working with centers in Jackson, Brick, Toms River, and Stafford Township.
Duties
- Prior to working in a center, you must complete all CCDBG required trainings
- Obtain CPR and First Aid training
- Claim shifts via Trello and the Google doc link
- Confirm shifts with center
- Follow lesson plans provided by Teacher to create a cohesive and consistent learning experience for students
- Manage the classroom effectively to encourage student participation, minimize distractions and maintain a positive learning environment
- Follow the classroom schedule
- Supervise students in and out of the classroom including on the playground
- Change diapers and help children with toileting
- Work cohesively with additional teachers in the classroom
- Abide by all center operations, policies, and procedures
Requirements
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- General knowledge of child development practices
- Ability to adapt
- Flexibility and critical-thinking skills
- Patience
Nice To Haves
Experience working with ages 6 weeks up to 12 years
Salary : $18 to $18/Hr
