Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Class A CDL Driver to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of driving experience and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Experience or familiarity working with the port of Virginia is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles in compliance with all DOT regulations.
- Transport goods to and from assigned destinations on time.
- Handle and inspect cargo to ensure proper securement and condition.
- Complete all required documentation, including logs, bills of lading, and delivery receipts.
- Maintain regular communication with dispatch and follow delivery schedules.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues promptly.
- Adhere to company policies and safety procedures at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license.
- Minimum of 3 years of commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no recent violations.
- Experience with Port Authority operations is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
- Ability to operate GPS and other navigation tools effectively.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Physical ability to load/unload cargo as needed.
