About The Role
The Accounting Services Representative I reports to the Accounting Services Manager and is responsible for supporting the daily processing of vendor invoices according to the company's policies, practices, and procedures. This is an entry-level role designed to provide training and experience in accounts payable and/or inventory control functions while ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance.

The Accounting Services Representative I reports to the Accounting Services Manager and is responsible for supporting the daily processing of vendor invoices according to the company's policies, practices, and procedures. This is an entry-level role designed to provide training and experience in accounts payable and/or inventory control functions while ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance.
Position Responsibilities
- Receive, review & enter invoices into the accounting system
- Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts for accuracy
- Assist with preparing vendor payments (checks, ACH or wires)
- Respond to routine vendor and internal inquiries regarding invoice or payment status
- Maintain accurate and organized records and files
- Collaborate with team members and/or vendors to resolve discrepancies
- Ensure timely processing of invoices to meet payment deadlines
- Assist team with physical inventories when needed
- Review vendor statements, research discrepancies and communicate with vendors to resolve open issues
- Complete directives by management team as assigned
- Keen attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies
- Ability to exercise good judgment and think in a logical fashion
- The ability to speak, read and write in English
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment with all levels of personnel in various positions
- Communicating with vendors to resolve any issues or disputes in relation to invoices or payments.
- Accurately entering and coding of invoices in accordance with the general ledger accounts
- 1 years of accounting, finance, or business experience; gained through education and/or experience
- Specific experience in accounts payable preferred
- Computer skills required; technology savvy: Microsoft, Stratton Warren IP and Great Plains experience desired
- Organizational, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and follow directions appropriately
- Must be able to effectively communicate In English
- Ability to stand for multiple hours during physical inventory and be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds
