Ithaca area - LPN/RN, EKG tech, phlebotomist - Fire Department Physicals
Typically, Monday - Thursday evenings, and Saturday mornings.
You pick the sites you are willing to do. Opportunities will be occassional. This is not steady work, but truly per diem.
Position entails:
- Routine physicals for fire departments members and occasion general industry.
- DOT driver physicals
- Your position could be: vital signs, pulmonary function testing (will train), EKG, or phlebotomy.
- Evenings
- - 5:30pm - ~9pm |
- Saturdays
- - 8am - 11:30am
Coverage Area: Throughout the Erie PA / Upper north east PA area. Not necessary to be able to traverse everywhere. We are looking to hire staff across the area to assist with coverage throughout the region.
Typical event description:
Our team including a provider (NP/PA/MD/DO), nurses, respiratory therapist, phlebotomists, and medical assistants arrive onsite 30 mins prior to start time. Stations are set up around the fire facility. The fire fighter staff will complete OSHA required paperwork and then advance through the many stations in reasonably short order to undergo the various testing. Results are brought back to our office by the team leader and collated and certified. We will train you on how to do the various duties.
Pay: commensurate with experience. Travel is paid hourly door to door. EKG/Phlebotomist $23, LPN $25, RN $28/hr
Job Type: per diem. At will, you will be offered a variety of sites which you either accept or decline. Can be weeks without any events, could be multiple in a week. Varies.
Required experience:
- Medical License for PA (NYS is a plus) for degrees requiring..
- Prior firefighter experience is appreciated, but not required. Gives you a better understanding of the fire fighter.
