What are the responsibilities and job description for the Day Program Assistant Supervisor position at Occupational Training Center?
- Assumes the role of the Center Supervisor in their absence.
- Assists the Program Supervisor in ensuring that individuals are provided the opportunity to obtain meet objectives/goals.
- Assist the Supervisor in overseeing medication administration, including compliance with all procedures and recordkeeping requirements.
- Assist with auditing participant files for compliance and follow up with providers, guardians and Support Coordinators for needed paperwork.
- Ensures that the CAC facility is properly maintained, clean and free of safety hazards.
- Records and monitors daily attendance records, vehicle logs and other required documentation.
- In conjunction with the Supervisor, handles all emergencies, medical and transportation issues and staffing compliance in a safe and proactive manner and in accordance with all policies/procedures. Responsibility includes full compliance with Danielle’s Law and SK Law.
- Provides participants with person-centered activities and educational training to enhance functional and cognitive abilities and skills. Introduces new and innovative programs to maximize growth and development.
- Assist the Supervisor in the delegation of all duties amongst staff members.
- Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to staff members. In conjunction with the Supervisor, provide support and redirection to staff and intervene when necessary with staff conflict or other staffing issues.
- Assist Supervisor in securing staff coverage for vacancies and PTO requests.
- Transport consumers to and from residence and various community outings. When driving individuals will ensure individuals, both ambulatory and non-ambulatory, and equipment are properly secured in the vehicle. If a bus aid or other staff member secured individual(s), will double check wheelchair tie downs and seatbelts to ensure all passengers are properly secured in the vehicle prior to driving.
