Duties

Major Duties Of This Position Are

  • Analyze, administer, and ensure the accountability of a wide variety of complex administrative and management functions within the Region. The functions include but are not limited to human resources management, financial management, occupational health and safety management, records management, property management and training administration.
  • Analyze management information requirements to develop program or administrative reporting systems including the systems specifications, data gathering and analytical techniques, and systems evaluation methodology, as needed.
  • Conduct reviews of regional and field office organizational structures and resource allocations in relation to program priorities and needs.
  • Assist management officials by performing staff analytical work that helps ensure the effectiveness of the offices' compliance operations and supports the accomplishment of its administrative duties.
  • Serve as primary point of contact within the Region for Workers' Compensation related issues. Investigates and reports all serious personal work-related injuries to the Office of Safety and Health and as deemed necessary to the Office of Worker Compensation Program (OWCP).

Qualifications

You must meet the Specialized Experience to qualify for Management Analyst, as described below.

A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must clearly indicate the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such position. Skills

Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Applicants must have 52 weeks of Specialized Experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal Service, which includes:

  • Conducting analysis of work processes for use in evaluating the effectiveness of administrative operations;
  • Communicating both orally and in writing by preparing and presenting information and data to management officials;
  • Participating in administrative planning, policy or decision-making meetings regarding HR-related functions such as manpower, personnel management, or budget;
  • Managing administrative functions such as human resource management, financial management, records management, property management, or training administration.

Education

There are no education requirements for this position and there is no substitution of education for Specialized Experience at this grade level.
