What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Self-Sufficiency Case Manager position at Occupational Enterprises, Inc.?
: Ensures the proper administration of OEI projects to provide operational, programmatic, financial, and contracted compliance with Federal and State regulations and policies.

- Oversee and train Together We Can program assistant/recovery coach and project activities which includes ensuring adherence to contracts and identifying and resolving problems.
- Reviews changes in regulations and the effects of such changes, assists with planning process by gathering programmatic information.
- Assists with development and update of procedures when requested; collaborates and coordinates activities with Executive Director/TWC Project Director to develop service strategies, activities and training plans, concept papers, and other program development documents.
- Submit Invoices required for financial and programmatic reports.
- Maintains close working relationship with partner program staff to ensure coordination of training goals and supportive services.
- Maintains data as required on client caseload and related program activities for reporting purposes and for monitoring of client participation and expenditure levels; Supervision of program assistant/recovery coach.
- Meets with participants to address participant concerns / complaints.
- Recognizes trends in program operation and results and makes recommendations for and assists in developing corrective action plans.
- Performs desk audits of participant files, contracts, time and attendance records, and supportive service information to ensure accuracy.
- Assesses performance goals and results.
- Provides regular reports to management team.
- Oversees/assigns program assistant/recovery coach duties to ensure proper delivery of program services.
: Knowledge of Federal and State Department of Social Services regulations and policies; knowledge of budgetary controls; considerable knowledge of management systems and financial record keeping systems; high level skills in oral and written communication; ability to independently interpret and apply rules, laws and regulations is a variety of situations; ability to establish and maintain a good working relations with agency staff, and business officials.
Qualifications: B.S. Degree in Social Work or related field Preferred
o Must be willing to work outside of normal working hours and adjust schedule as necessary to fit participant needs
o Knowledge of social work principles (for example, respecting individual differences and maximizing client independence, confidentiality, and reporting) and social work practice (such as interviewing, assessing client needs, setting goals, managing cases, and locating and securing resources) to advise clients and to deliver services, under supervision.
o Ability to exchange information orally with clients, co-workers, and staff members of other agencies, to explain local department programs, to interview clients, to obtain resources, and to consult with other professionals.
o Ability to make and implement case decisions (for example, after reviewing the alternatives, to identify and select a course of action; to develop a plan based on knowledge of needs and resources; and to follow through on the treatment and intervention plan in a timely manner) in order to ensure the delivery of appropriate services to clients.
o Ability to assess an individual’s and/or family’s strengths and needs to plan for the delivery of appropriate services.
o Knowledge of social, economic, and health problems (such as strikes, unemployment, cultural differences, child abuse, and contaminated drinking water) that face individuals, groups, (for example, single parent families, migrants, and the elderly), and communities, in order to offer assistance and training to members to create sensitive to clients; to assess the full range of client needs and to deliver needed services; and to identify gaps in community resources.
o Ability to respond to assigned member’s emotions (such as hostility, anger, and grief) to accomplish service goals.
o Ability to plan and manage, own work activities, including service delivery and record keeping duties, to ensure that tasks are carried out.
o Ability to prepare and write reports, correspondence, and narrative descriptions of case activities.
o Ability to interpret laws, policies, and regulations to apply, with supervision, policy manuals, agency regulations, and laws related to social services programs.
o Must possess a valid Driver’s License
