Occoneechee Golf Club is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Pro Shop Assistant Manager to join our team. This role is essential in providing our members and guests with an exceptional golf experience while ensuring smooth and professional pro shop operations.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Provide friendly, attentive, and professional service to all golfers and guests
- Assist players with tee times, check-ins, and general inquiries
- Maintain a welcoming environment and resolve customer issues promptly and effectively
- Promote club events, merchandise, and services with a positive attitude
Pro Shop Operations & Management
Oversee daily pro shop functions, including opening/closing procedures
- Manage retail displays, merchandising, and inventory levels
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking merchandise
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing pro shop
- Support coordination of golf events, tournaments, and member programs
- Some golf course maintenance tasks may be asked
Team Support
- Help train and guide pro shop staff
- Lead by example in customer service standards and professionalism
- Work collaboratively with the golf operations team to ensure smooth flow of daily activities
Qualifications
· Previous experience in golf operations, retail, or customer service preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable with POS systems, scheduling tools, and basic computer skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of golf is a plus
