Overland Park Xchange is a Class A commercial office campus totaling approximately 733,400 square feet on 29 acres in the heart of the Johnson County submarket — minutes from Highway 69 and I-435, and within walking distance of restaurants, hotels, and retail at 115th amp; Metcalf. It’s one of the premier office destinations in the Kansas City Metro, and it takes a sharp, organized team to keep it running at that level.
The Assistant Property Manager is a key part of that team. From lease administration and vendor coordination to tenant relations and financial reporting, this role sits at the center of everything that makes a well-managed property feel that way to the people who occupy it.
This is a full-time, hourly position reporting to the Property Manager or their designee, based on-site at Overland Park Xchange campus.

- Supporting property operations — answering phones, preparing reports, managing correspondence, and keeping the office running efficiently
- Managing the numbers — coding and tracking invoices for Property Manager approval, assisting with monthly and quarterly financial reports, processing tenant bill-backs, and supporting annual budget preparation
- Keeping contracts and compliance in order — preparing bid proposals and service contracts, monitoring insurance certificates, tracking expirations, and maintaining lease and contract files
- Owning the work order system — maintaining the property maintenance and purchase order systems, tracking tenant work order status, and ensuring accurate and timely documentation
- Supporting lease administration — abstracting leases, coordinating tenant move-ins and move-outs, and keeping tenant information current in the database
- Building tenant relationships — tracking service calls, coordinating tenant engagement efforts including handbooks, newsletters, and events, and serving as a professional point of contact for tenants and vendors

What You Will Bring
- Previous experience in a commercial or multi-family property management role
- Strong administrative skills — document management, lease administration, contract tracking, and database maintenance
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams; experience with property management software a plus
- Solid written and verbal communication skills — you’ll be interacting with tenants, vendors, and leadership regularly
- Meticulous attention to detail, especially around invoice coding, financial reporting, and compliance tracking
- Ability to manage competing priorities and shifting deadlines without losing accuracy
Preferred, but not required:
Familiarity with commercial lease structures and brokerage administration
Experience with tenant bill-back processing or property financial oversight
