Poker Room Brush-Chip Runner

Company Overview: OcalaBets is a brand new cardroom opening in beautiful Ocala, Florida at the end of summer 2023. Our fully remodeled facility is located on the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company complex. The cardroom will include 35 card tables featuring traditional poker and Vegas-style card games including Ultimate Texas Hold’em, Three Card Poker, and DJ Wild. Full bar service with a fast-casual menu will be available as well as simulcast wagering on horse racing throughout the country shown on over 100 televisions. Job Description:

Brush/Chip Runners offer a service that is an added convenience for players, which allows for games to run smoothly and seamlessly without having to stop to purchase more chips. The chip runner works with bankers, floor supervisors, and poker dealers to ensure a favorable guest experience from beginning to end. Previous experience in a fast paced, guest service oriented position is preferred, but not required. Wages plus tips.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivers chip trays to cardroom tables.
• Removes chip trays from the table upon dealer request.
• Personalizes service by promoting outstanding guest relations using guest’s name.
• Ensures the appropriate game plaques are visible.
• Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
• Participate as a count team member.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Greet guests and assist the Poker Supervisor or Shift manager with seating guests.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a customer service role is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of poker rules and etiquette.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with diverse groups.
• Strong math skills, cash handling and chip handling experience are preferred.
• Ability to stand and move around for extended periods.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.

Working Conditions:

The role requires prolonged standing and walking, as well as the ability to handle stressful situations and interact with the public under varying conditions. May require some lifting (up to 50 lbs).
