Responsibilities
- Greet clients and visitors warmly, providing exceptional customer service with a lively, professional demeanor
- Schedule appointments efficiently while managing the clinic’s calendar to optimize workflow
- Handle medical collections accurately, ensuring all billing and payment procedures are completed promptly
- Maintain detailed records of pet information, medical history, and treatment plans using veterinary software systems
- Assist with animal handling tasks such as dog handling, animal restraint, and basic pet care instructions when needed
- Facilitate communication between clients and veterinary staff regarding treatment plans, follow-up care, and medication instructions
- Support laboratory processes by preparing samples and understanding veterinary terminology relevant to patient care
- Manage kennel operations including animal husbandry tasks like feeding, cleaning, and monitoring animals' well-being during their stay
Experience
- Previous experience in veterinary reception or administrative roles within animal clinics is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with veterinary critical care procedures and laboratory experience is advantageous
- Knowledge of animal anatomy, aseptic techniques, and pet grooming practices enhances your ability to support clinical teams
- Hands-on experience with animal catheterization, pet grooming, or equine handling is a plus
- Strong understanding of animal handling techniques including dog training, animal restraint, and pet care best practices
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain veterinary terminology clearly to pet owners
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
