CNC Laser Cutter Operator

We are seeking an experienced CNC Laser Cutter Operator to join a restaurant back-of-house fabrication team. This position will operate Amada CNC laser cutting equipment to produce precision metal components used for commercial kitchen and restaurant equipment, including stainless-steel panels, prep tables, brackets, and kitchen fixtures.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Amada CNC laser cutting machines
• Cut sheet metal according to blueprints, drawings, and job specifications
• Load and unload sheet metal safely and efficiently
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, CAD files, and tolerances
• Perform quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed
• Perform routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance
• Work with stainless steel, aluminum, and galvanized steel
• Assist with deburring, sanding, assembly, and other fabrication duties as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements

Qualifications

• Previous CNC laser cutting experience required
• Experience with Amada CNC equipment preferred
• Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Knowledge of CNC controls and programming
• Experience working with sheet metal and precision measurements
• Familiarity with bending, forming, or welding is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well with a fabrication team
• Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
• Must be able to wear required PPE, including safety glasses and steel-toe footwear

Preferred Experience

Experience fabricating equipment for restaurants or commercial kitchens is a plus. Experience with Amada press brakes or turret punches and knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other CNC-related software are also preferred.

Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
