Position: Job Coach/Mentor
Hours: Part-time; 20 hrs/wk (flexible daily schedule)
Compensation: $20/hour
Summary Description: The Job Coach will work one-on-one with a single client for an extended period of time (i.e., several months), providing mentorship and support with the objective of helping the client obtain employment. Once the client has obtained employment, the Job Coach will provide on-the-job support to help the client successfully carry out the job responsibilities.
Location: The Job Coach will ideally live in close proximity to the client, within a reasonable driving distance. The Job Coach will provide transportation. Therefore, the Job Coach must have access to a personal vehicle. (Fuel cost will be reimbursed.)
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED, or six months related experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
· Demonstrated ability to think clearly and communicate effectively
· Commitment to excellence and high standards
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals
· Ability to manage priorities and workflow
· Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
· Creative, flexible, and innovative team player
· Passion, enthusiasm, focus, creativity, and a positive outlook
· Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently
Certificates / Licenses:
· Driver's license
· Current CPR/FIRST AID certificate (upon hiring)
· Cleared Live Scan background check (upon hiring)
· Physical with negative TB test (upon hiring)
